
Terra: Formations
Terra: Formations is an FPS-RTS competitive team-based game set in the near future of the year 2099 against the background of the Solar System. Terraforming is the key to Humanity's survival after an deadly World War 3 decades previously and the focus of changing the Galilean moons of Jupiter to habitable zones.
The development of the game was cancelled in 2016.




Story
The four main moons known as the Galilean moons discovered in 1610 by Galileo Galilei have become man's last hope to relocate the population over after an outbreak on Earth, which has followed to Mars afterwards. Each moon is at an different phase of the terraforming cycle where the game starts and we all discover an horrible truth that we are not alone. An alien species called The Maraud have appeared out of no where on the moons, the battle for the Solar System has begun.




History
The history of Terra: Formations dates back to 2005 during its initial concept & prototyping demos up to 2007. Featured across global gaming magazines & at the GDC / E3 game shows during that time. The game was put on hold until 2012 where slowly the development re-started on the title and in 2015 pushed into major development.




Game Play
The Gameplay of TERRA features various Multiplayer (and Single Player training) modes including: Deathmatch FFA, Team Deathmatch, 4 Team Deathmatch, and Formations. Each mode offers different gameplay of FPS / RTS, with Deathmatches mostly FPS focus and "Formations" mode focusing on the full blend of FPS & RTS Gameplay. All Players can jump instantly in and out of FPS or RTS at any time.
The two player classes enhances the gameplay with different strengths, weaknesses and abilities. Powerful weapons can be picked up or researched in the "Formations" mode and players can also use ground vehicles to get around on certain maps.
